Announcement Regarding the Global COVID-19 Crisis
7th DI is dedicated to the success of our clients, but to be successful, we must first be safe. As such, we have taken a variety of measures to ensure the health and well-being of our team, our clients, and all of their families in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our steps are listed below, but first a word about 7th DI’s operations during this time.
Still Here For You
While we realize that social distancing is everyone’s responsibility and a vital practice for saving lives in our communities, 7th DI will remain open for business to address the needs of our clients who perform essential services. Furthermore, many of our clients will be working remotely or in a limited capacity to ensure that they can still provide for their families, so we stand ready to assist them as well.
7th DI is still available 24/7, but due to a high volume of calls and increased online traffic, calling in for support may not be the swiftest method of receiving assistance. We recommend using your online client portal to submit requests or contacting us directly.
7th DI’s Actions to Ensure Safety
To protect the health of everyone and flatten the curve for our medical professionals and frontline workers, we have taken the following steps:
- Policies have been implemented to allow our employees to work remotely if feasible, or quarantine themselves if they feel or suspect themselves to be ill.
- All nonessential business travel and meetings have been restricted, with virtual options made available.
- Strict disinfection policies have been enacted for 7th DI employees and workspaces.
- Regular monitoring of government and health authority announcements and directives has been enacted to stay abreast of developments and alter policy as needed.
What You Can Do
It is the responsibility of all organizations that are operational during this crisis to take proper safety measures and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Here are some tips for keeping workstations and other IT clean and safe:
- It cannot be said enough: Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap. Hand sanitizer gels are useful when hand washing is not possible, but they are not as effective and should not be used as a substitute.
- Use disinfecting wipes on keyboards, mouses, phone and handset regularly. If they are used by multiple people, disinfect after every use. If no wipes are available, spray disinfectant onto paper towels or other disposable cloths.
- To clean screens, use a mild disinfectant and a disposable wipe (tissue, paper towel, etc.).
- Do not use compressed air to remove dust and particles. This is based on the dust, allergens and particles being kicked up into the air around the person performing this task and is considered a risk at this time.
- It is NOT necessary or safe to disinfect the internal components of computers or other electronics.
- HOWEVER, any external components (power buttons, light switches, etc.) or surfaces that are touched or breathed upon frequently should be disinfected regularly.
